Putting Greens in California and Nevada. Free Assessment and Written Bid.
Sierra Pacific Sports / Triumph Surfacing is an artificial putting green installation contractor that homeowners, clubs and resorts rely on for synthetic greens.
Who it's for
Homeowners who want to practice at home, plus golf clubs, resorts and communities adding a practice green.
What goes into a putting green
- A compacted, shaped base with the breaks and slope you want.
- Putting turf that rolls true.
- Cups and flags set where you want them.
- Fringe turf around the green for a finished look.
Materials and options
The base decides how a green plays. A well-compacted base keeps the roll true and even across the surface. Putting turf comes in different pile heights. Shorter turf rolls faster and needs a very flat base. Green speed is usually measured in stimp, and infill can help fine-tune it. Fringe turf around the green catches chip shots and frames the edge.
Where we install them
- Backyards
- Golf clubs
- Resorts
- Community and HOA spaces
What to plan for
- Size and location
- Pick a spot with room to putt from a few distances.
- Breaks
- The base is shaped before the turf goes down, so plan the breaks up front.
- Chipping
- Plan a fringe area around the green if you want to chip onto it.
Why maintenance matters
Synthetic turf is not maintenance free. Regular brushing, debris removal and infill top-offs keep fibers standing, the surface even and the turf looking right for years.
For larger turf areas, our Health Care 4 Turf plans run 4, 8 or 16 cleanings and groomings a year, each with a written inspection report.
Questions about putting greens
Can you build breaks into an artificial putting green?
Yes. The base is shaped before the turf goes down, so we can build in the breaks and slope you want.
How fast will the green roll?
Green speed depends on the turf, the infill and how flat the base is. We talk through the speed you want before we build.
Can I chip onto it?
Plan a fringe area around the green if you want to chip onto it. We can lay it out with you on the site walk.
Does a putting green need maintenance?
A little. Brushing, clearing debris and topping off infill now and then keep it rolling true.
Do you install putting greens for clubs and resorts?
Yes. We install synthetic putting greens for homes, clubs and resorts.
