Synthetic Turf Field Replacement in California and Nevada. Free Assessment and Written Bid.

Sierra Pacific Sports / Triumph Surfacing is a synthetic turf field replacement contractor that school districts, colleges and parks rely on when a field is worn out. We remove the old turf and install a new system on your existing field.

Who it's for

Athletic directors, facility managers and district planners with a synthetic field near the end of its life. Most sports fields last around eight years, depending on use and maintenance, so many districts plan the next replacement a year or more ahead.

How a field replacement works

  • Field evaluation: we check the base, drainage, fiber wear and infill to confirm replacement is the right call and not a repair.
  • Removal: the old turf and infill are pulled up and hauled off.
  • Base and drainage repair: low spots, soft areas and drains get fixed before the new turf goes down.
  • Installation: the new turf is laid, seamed and inlaid with your lines and numbers.
  • Infill and grooming: infill is spread to the right depth and the field is groomed.
  • Testing: G-Max testing, with certified results from an independent third party, before the field opens.

Signs a field is due for replacement

  • Seams and inlays keep opening after repairs
  • Fibers worn flat or broken down to the backing
  • G-Max readings stay high after decompaction
  • Repair costs keep climbing year after year

Why maintenance matters

Your turf field and running track represent a major investment. Routine maintenance helps improve safety, preserve appearance and prevent costly long-term damage.

Our Health Care 4 Turf plans run 4, 8 or 16 cleanings and groomings a year. Every visit includes a field inspection and a written report, and every plan includes 1 professional G-Max test a year.

Questions about synthetic turf field replacement

How long does a synthetic turf field last?

Most sports fields last around eight years, depending on how hard they are used and how well they are maintained. Regular grooming, decompaction and seam repair can stretch that.

How do I know if my field needs replacement or repair?

Start with a field evaluation. If the seams, base and fibers are mostly sound, repair and maintenance can add years. If the turf is worn out or G-Max readings stay high after decompaction, replacement is usually the better spend. We put the recommendation in writing.

Can the existing base be reused?

Often, yes. We evaluate the base and drainage first and repair what needs it before the new turf goes down.

When should we schedule a replacement?

Plan early. Most schools replace over summer break, and budgets and board approvals take time, so start the conversation well before the season you want the new field.

Do you work on public school projects?

Yes. We hold CA License #1067002, CA DIR #1000648526 for public works, and NV Licenses #0095704 and #0089250.
