How often should a field be power groomed?
It depends on how hard the field is used. Our T-Kare Optimum Choice, Full Service plan includes 1 power grooming a year along with 16 cleanings and groomings. A field evaluation shows whether your field needs it sooner.
What does a deep power groom do?
It stands up the fibers and decompacts the infill. Compacted infill makes the surface harder and reduces its ability to absorb impact.
Will power grooming change my G-Max readings?
Surface decompaction loosens infill and brings G-Max readings back to acceptable Synthetic Turf Council (STC) guidelines. G-Max testing by certified third-party testers shows where the surface stands.
Do you add infill too?
Yes. Top dressing restores infill levels affected by migration, usually in high-traffic areas.
